High Wycombe
This small industrial unit near High Wycombe needed a complete refurbishment externally and internally.
The client’s brief was to refurbish the unit thoroughly and improve the EPC ratings from a C to a B. This required upgrades to the insulation of the elevations and the roof, the removal of gas heating in favour of an electrical one, and the installation of new photovoltaic panels and electric car charging point.
Over the years, internal partition walls and a mezzanine floor have been added, creating a warren of small offices, storage rooms, and workshops.
After stripping out the internal areas, we replaced the whole roof with a new insulated system, using a new built-up design with a 40-year coating warranty. The final addition to the roof was a section of PV panels to generate renewable energy.
To complete the external refurbishment, the end-wall vertical cladding was replaced with an insulated system, and the front cladding, sectional overhead door and personnel doors were resprayed.
Internally, the whole area was decorated and fitted out, with new wiring, toilets, and kitchen, before an electrical heating system was installed. An Electric Vehicle charging point was also added. The cleared warehouse section floor was then recoated.
