Dartford
The metal roofing sheets above this busy loading bay in a Dartford industrial unit were severely peeled and corroded. Water entered the building in multiple locations from the failed roof and the adjacent gutter. Welbro worked with the professional team at Hollis Global to develop a cost-effective solution which would keep disruption to operations within the loading bay to a minimum.
An insulated over-roofing system with a Plygene gutter liner was the chosen specification. This specification allowed the bulk of the old roof to stay in place while the roof lights were replaced before a new insulated roof system was fixed back to the primary structure via a bespoke grid system. The new over-roof system covered approximately 520m2, with 64m2 of new GRP roof lights. The new gutter lining system was approximately 56m long.
The gallery photographs show the roof before, during and after refurbishment.
