Staples Corner

This was a major refurbishment project to upgrade an entire industrial estate. Welbro acted as the main contractor for this project which involved the renewal of the roofs, licenced asbestos removals, demolition, resurfacing the car park, with drainage renewal, electrical works and external redecoration.

This work was undertaken during the winter months while the buildings remained occupied by a variety of different companies, the tenants of the estate. The original contract grew by approximately 20%, as our client instructed us to manager additional works. Welbro undertook the licensed asbestos removals and roofing elements of the project in-house, with our approved supply chain undertaking the other specialist works.

This represents one of the largest projects Welbro has completed in the UK.

New windows were installed as part of the internal fit-out, which included the refurbishment of the offices and toilets. The front external cladding was sprayed. The car park was re-designed and resurfaced to accommodate a new loading area, complete with a new roller shutter door.
